Confessions Of A Bookaholic – Guilty Pleasures Edition #61 – Sweet Valley High Super Thriller #4 – Deadly Summer

I have to say that this Super Thriller was the best one yet! It was the normal Sweet Valley silliness meets a paranoid schizophrenic genius bomb maker (I admit I kept flashing back to episodes of “Criminal Minds” and “24”). This is one Super Thriller you won’t want to miss! 😉

Sweet Valley Scale: 4.5 out of 5 Twins

Elizabeth and Jessica Wakefield are working as summer interns at The Sweet Valley News when they hear that a patient has escaped from a nearby psychiatric hospital. Running Low And Behind – This Battery Needs A Jumpstart!

I usually have “Thursday” blogs done in advance. Thursday is my most popular day… but today when I tried to write something (and I have a bucket of reserve ideas) nothing clicked. And my motto is not to force something that isn’t coming, because it just means the timing is off. And I know a lot about bad timing. 😐

I don’t know why, I have had a lot of super productive days in 2015, but whether it is a culmination of crap/stuff or I am pushing myself too hard this year (I always want to be challenged) I find myself lagging behind in almost everything. I mean I am getting a lot of work done, but not as fast as I would like. Or I am busy, improving as a writer, doing things to hopefully reach my publication goal, but still all I see is the long-ass road I have yet to travel. And even practical stuff like how many words I write per day, or how many pages I read per day, or exercise… I am falling short of my expectations.

My Trivia Semi-Addiction: Just A Little Healthy Competition?

I think a little healthy competition is always a good thing. But then again, I’m a competitive person, whether it is competing with someone else, or competing with myself – I am always trying to be the best. I don’t have anything to prove to anyone else, and I’m not looking for validation, but for some reason being competitive is as much a part of who I am, as being stubborn is. And ask anyone, I am incredibly stubborn.

My striving to be the best or do my best surrounds my day-to-day life as much as it does those big moments. I mean, I do grade myself on thirty some goals every day, and then weekly and so on, and I do this not only to keep track of my progress, but also because it pushes me to be better. I reached a goal this week – next week I want to double it. I am always trying to best myself, and I think it’s the key to progress and my own personal growth.

Confessions Of A Bookaholic – Guilty Pleasures Edition #60 – Sweet Valley High #57 – Teacher Crush

This book is like a bad eighties version of the movie “The Crush,” featuring Alicia Silverstone. I mean this girl has got it bad, and goes just a tad over the deep end… You’ll have to read this train wreck to believe it! 😛
