100 Female Celebrities’ Nude Photos Leaked: Put The Shame Where It Belongs – On The Hacker(s)

On Tuesday there was a massive hack and nudes photos of several female celebrities including but not limited to: Jennifer Lawrence, Kirsten Dunst, Kate Upton, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Adriana Grande, and Victoria Justice just to name a few, were leaked on the internet. Some of the celebrities have denied that the photos are real and stated they’re fake (Adirana Grande, Victoria Justice) while others have verified they are legitimate and are upset, and rightly so (Jennifer Lawrence, Kirsten Dunst, Kate Upton, Mary Elizabeth Winstead). The hack was on personal cloud drives of the celebrities and I have seen all kinds of opinions blaming the celebrities for having such photos in the first place and/or being dumb enough to store them on a cloud drive. My response to these opinions is, “Shut the f**k up.”

I’m sorry, but this should not be considered a scandal – it is a crime, pure and simple. These women had their privacy violated, and that is a crime. Those who have verified the photos are of them seem embarrassed and/or angry to some degree, which I totally understand. I don’t think any of the women have anything to be embarrassed about, but in their place I would be mortified, so I understand the embarrassment. But I hope that none of them feel ashamed because the only shame that should be felt or expressed should be focused on the person or persons responsible.

Confessions Of A Bookaholic – Book Four Of “The Mortal Instruments” Series: “City Of Fallen Angels”

Now halfway through ‘The Mortal Instruments’ series and it shows no signs of slowing down. Like every other book in the series so far, it was a fast read because of the book’s pacing, but also because I had to know what would happen next (though in this book it was a little different, but you’ll have to read on to see what I mean).

Spoiler Alert Because this is a series, the book’s basic premise may give away things from the previous books in the series, so read at your own risk.

Happy Labor Day

Labor Day is a holiday where I don’t have any traditions – old or new. My husband doesn’t either. It is a day without plans, without parties, without food to look forward to (or to have to slave over in the kitchen haha).

For me it has always been one of those ‘just there’ holidays. There aren’t many of them (Columbus Day may be the only other one), but the only thing they ever meant was a day off: from school, from work, from receiving any mail. Growing up the only ‘tradition’ was going to my aunt’s house. But this isn’t something I am looking to duplicate or tweak in any way.

My aunt always threw a big wild bash at her house. It was never that much fun for me. My mother would complain beforehand about how she didn’t want to go because it was just an excuse for my relatives to get drunk and act like idiots. During the party she would socialize and judge everyone, and then after she would rant about all of the idiotic things that took place and how everyone offended her directly or indirectly by their lack of class.

Confessions Of A Bookaholic – Guilty Pleasures Edition #30 – Sweet Valley High #42 – Caught In The Middle

Sweet Valley Scale: 4.5 out of 5 Twins

Sandra Bacon has finally found a boy to call her own. Manuel Lopez is kind, sensitive, and handsome, and he is in love with Sandra, just as she is in love with him. But there is a problem: Sandra’s parents are racist and won’t approve of their daughter dating a Mexican, so the couple must keep their love a secret. But when eyewitnesses place Manuel at the scene of a near-fatal accident, only Sandra can clear his name. If she tells the truth she may lose her parents’ love and trust, but if she doesn’t she will most certainly lose Manuel forever.

This book was simple, short and a very quick read. Sandra Bacon is in love with Manuel Lopez. Everyone knows about it at Sweet Valley High and Sandra is terrified of her parents finding out. Why? Because they’re racist, but it is never really clear in the book, if Sandra is more afraid of her disappointing her parents or more afraid that they will forbid her from seeing Manuel ever again. Either way – Sandra is an absolute coward. It begins to drive a wedge between them, because Manuel is a gentleman and wants to meet her parents before they are officially in a relationship. And Sandra has met all of his family, and we’re talking cousins, uncles, etc.

Are Track Marks In Season? My Big Infusion Center Failure – Blood Treatment Woes

Are track marks in season? Are they ever in season? My latest trip to the infusion center for a blood treatment and bloodletting to treat a bone marrow disorder, caused by my nine months of chemo a few years back, was kind of a disaster. Wow, that was kind of a run on; maybe I should try saying it three times fast.

Don’t get me wrong, I hate going in for these treatments because they always include some kind of unpleasantness – whether it is losing consciousness, projectile vomit or just feeling like I was hit by a bus – they take a lot out of me. And then I have to take it easy for the next four days or my body goes on a serious strike. But luckily, I have had treatments spaced out and now only have to go every six weeks (way better than every other week, for real). But when I went in this last time (Monday) they couldn’t finish the treatment or bloodletting – they barely made it a quarter of the way through treatment. I can’t remember the last time my body just completely rejected needles and IVs like my body did this time (I do know that it was in April 2010 actually) but it just wasn’t happening. So, now all I have to show for the effort is a bruised and tender arm, and I have to go in to try again tomorrow.

It is kind of a ‘to do’ to get ready for these things. I have to make sure I drink 90 ounces of water beforehand, eat strategically – really focusing on stomach friendly foods and tons of protein and have a certain amount of juice right beforehand. This is to try to keep my stomach, blood pressure, body’s shock value (apparently every time I give more than 200cc of blood my body thinks it is dying on the side of a road somewhere and tries to shut itself down – fun right?) in check and maintain consciousness. I also try to work out a few hours before (to get the blood pumping) and take a really hot shower (dilates blood vessels). It might seem like a lot of prep work, but it really is necessary. Because my body seems to always want to be ‘special’ and oversensitive to pretty much anything. And losing consciousness or just my cookies is not fun – and not cute, no matter what my husband might say to make me feel better.
